A win at Phoenix Bowmen Novice shoot, Windsor 50 scoring 894 which was also a club record.
Victory at Goldcrest Archers Novice shoot, Western 50 scoring 756.
Gained some valuable experience. I shot at Wyre Forest Company Of Archers (8th) and Burton Bridge Archers (4th)
Bowbrook Archers 2nd at the Wenlock Olympic shoot novice section scoring 632 (Western)
Repeated that 2nd place finish (pipped by 2 points) a few weeks later at Malvern Archers (National 60) scoring 520.
1st place at my club outdoor championship, shooting a Metric 122 – 40 (score 580) in a torrential downpour. I believe a summer gaining experience at different competitions, shooting in various weather conditions paid dividends.
I started my second indoor season with back-to-back personal bests – Staffordshire Archery Championship at Wenlock hall, Portsmouth round scoring 543 which gave me a 5th place finish out of 14. That was followed up at Goldcrest Archers WA18 – scoring 492 – 7th out of 18.
Also getting coached by Patrick Houston has been invaluable in my progress as an archer. We started our sessions in April but unfortunately life got a little hectic so that was paused. We stayed in touch throughout the summer and started again last month. My next is booked in December ahead of the National Indoor Championships which I’m stoked to be attending for the first time.
